"I went from tracking my calories, doing intense workouts to earn food, weighing myself everyday, and isolating myself from others as food is typically involved, to finding myself again and not letting calories control my life. I am finally able to eat what I truly want. I can go out to dinner and enjoy the company of others without being stuck in my head about how many calories things are. I can snack on things and try new things since I do not need to plug every single item into a tracking app. I do not constantly have food noise taking over every thought in my head. I am able to concentrate, am not always cold and tired, and am no longer losing a bunch of hair. I can trust myself around food again and have tools to use if I ever feel the desire to binge. I also have knowledge about how to calm myself down when thoughts about restricting myself are high. Food is something to enjoy, not just a reward.
